In the manufacturing process of semiconductors, including the production of silicon wafers, isotropic graphite materials with excellent heat resistance are often used as a structural material,  as the manufacturing process often exceeds temperatures of over 1000°C.

In addition, high-purity graphite components are widely used in many semiconductor manufacturing processes such as the ion implantation process of semiconductors and the manufacturing process of solar cells, optical fibers, compound semiconductors, and SiC semiconductors, because those process require high purity.

Many of our high-purity graphite products have already been used in the semiconductor industry, but what are the advantages of these for other applications?

In fact, even graphite, which has heat-resistance properties, starts to oxidize and wear out from about 400℃ in an oxygen atmosphere, and wears out.

 By applying high purity treatment to graphite, oxidative wear can be reduced, which enables graphite products to be used longer.
